In addition to their marriage coaching, Jen has written and published two historical children’s books! As a lover of truth and lifelong learner, Jen has always had a passion for history. Over the years, she pursued the true stories of history that have been hidden in mainstream culture. Years before writing her books, she stumbled on the books of Christian historian William J. Federer, which contain comprehensive details about the history of the Christian Church, world history, and American history.
Extremely detailed and well researched, Bill’s work outlines what has happened in the world in a way that shows how things have changed and unraveled over time. She found his work to be a reliable and informative source that opened history up for her in a way she had never experienced before. When she read his books, There Really Is A Santa Claus and Saint Patrick, she knew she wanted to share them with her children on a level that they would understand.
She recognized that the stories surrounding people like Saint Patrick and Saint Nicholas have been greatly lost or diluted in culture and that the average person really doesn’t know the true history of their lives because of how they have been commercialized over the years. Her passion for sharing the truth with her daughters and children everywhere inspired her to write these books. It is Jen’s hope that every family has the opportunity to learn from and be encouraged by the true stories behind these incredible figures and the moments in history that shaped their lives!
Her first book, published in March of 2022 is titled, The Incredible Saint Patrick: From Slave to Saint, a Life of Compassion and Courage. Her second published book is Who is that Man in the Red Suit: The Story of how Saint Nicholas became Santa. Both books succinctly tell the stories of these men’s real lives and how they became known worldwide. With pictures that depict the history, Jen’s books are sure to be a favorite for the whole family - adults and children alike!
Jen is a homeschool educator, artist, and avid reader. When Jen isn't writing, she continues to build their kingdom minded marriage and family coaching business with Jason. "What I liked about this book is that it is an informative, concise portrayal of St. Patrick’s life that emphasizes the spiritual side of his life. Another positive aspect of this book is that while children will enjoy the pictures and can easily understand the text, it is sophisticated enough that adults will enjoy learning about this remarkable servant of the Lord.
